This past spring of 2024 I acted on a long-held desire and started taking pottery classes. I have a great teacher and am continuing to learn in class. I have also been going to practice at a separate studio, between the 2 logging about about 20-22 hours weekly. I love this practice and have been working on developing a style that is distinctly my own...Throwing on the wheel (a true challenge, albeit a fun one), trimming, then hand-carving the pieces and coloring with underglaze and regular glaze. I have been working with porcelain and stoneware clay bodies. This gallery contains the porcelain pieces that I am most happy with.
