Stoneware
Recently, I have been exploring a range of stoneware clay bodies, each chosen for its unique character, texture, and color. In some cases, two or three clays are blended to create subtle variations and unexpected visual depth. All work in this gallery is wheel-thrown and individually crafted.
Surface patterns are carefully carved at the leather-hard stage, allowing the designs to become an integral part of the form. Glazes are hand-painted to build layered color combinations and nuanced effects, enhancing the movement and texture of each piece.
All works are finished with medium- to high-fire glazes for richness and durability. Select pieces are further adorned with 23K yellow or white gold lusters, as well as other iridescent overglaze finishes applied in a third, low-fire process—adding a final touch of luminosity and refinement.
