Porcelain with Jewelry
My ceramic work includes both hand-built and wheel-thrown forms in tinted porcelain. Each piece is layered with underglaze, high-fire glaze, and finished with low-fire precious metal lusters. Designed to hold jewelry or other small treasures, these porcelain pieces also stand beautifully on their own.
Each piece of jewelry begins as a hand-carved wax model and is cast in recycled gold, sterling silver, or brass, and set using only ethically sourced or vintage gemstones. My collections are produced in small editions and are inspired by nature, animals, and feelings of nostalgia.
Every item is crafted by hand in my East Village home studio.
Jewelry casting takes place in New York City’s historic Jewelry District, and my porcelain pieces are fired in a studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
